Mr. Najib was ousted from office and convicted of corruption in 2020 concerning embezzling a multibillion-dollar sovereign wealth fund. Last year, his prison sentence was reduced to six years, and his fine was lowered to $11 million. Additionally, in November, charges of misappropriating public funds were dismissed.   One wonders why there is such grief, criminality, and deceit within the world. The reason can be summed up in one word: justification. Justification is a concept that can topple kings and dismantle governments.
